FAQ
-
Is this a wedding?
It is not a wedding, but a post-wedding after party back in Chicago, to celebrate with friends and family.
-
Will there be dinner?
While there will not be a formal, sit-down dinner, there will be more than enough food to go around. We will have a pasta station, sushi hand roll bar, passed hors d'oeuvre, and dessert.
-
When do we need to arrive in Chicago?
While we encourage guests to come Friday and make the weekend into a trip, the official event is planned for Saturday evening. Guests can arrive anytime up until Saturday evening.
-
Where should we stay?
Because Chicago has so many different hotel options at different price points, we encourage everyone to choose their own accommodations. We have created a page for different options in different price points and neighborhoods.
-
Do I get a plus-one?
All invites are based on your invitation and who it is addressed to. Please only RSVP for those included on your invitation.
-
Are kids allowed?
This will be a kid-free event, however, please feel free to bring your kids in town if you are comfortable finding a sitter for the night. Please reach out if you would like a recommendation.
-
What will the weather be like?
Chicago in October is typically very enjoyable, however, the weather can be unpredictable.
Expect somewhere in-between 50-68 degrees.
-
Is there a registry?
Since this is not a traditional wedding, we view your attendance as the greatest gift to us. You can visit our registry HERE if you feel strongly about going above and beyond what is needed.
-
What is the dress code?
Black tie-optional!
For the men: tuxedos or black suits.
For the women: Midi and long formal dresses.
